Phyllis M. Burkholder, 91, of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024. She was born on May 18, 1932, in New Stanton, the daughter of the late Walter and Verna (Miller) Forsythe. Phyllis was known as the "Mother" of her neighborhood and was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Greensburg. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Burkholder; her children, Barbara McMillen, of Greensburg, David Burkholder, of Greensburg and Carol Pittavino (Rodney), of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Shawn, Adam, Matthew and Alex; her step-grandchildren, Michael Riggle (Tammie) and Kelly Miller (Kurt); and her eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sons, Raymond and Garry Burkholder; her sisters, Sandra Newcomer and Donna Harrold; and her son-in-law, Jeffery McMillen. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024 in the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 101 S. 4th Street, Youngwood. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, with a Funeral Service to follow, in the First Baptist Church, 1228 Brinkerton Road, Greensburg.
