Organized by Stop the Violence Pittsburgh, the Western Pennsylvania Juneteenth Homecoming Celebration is the largest Juneteenth festival in the nation, drawing over 70,000 attendees and generating significant economic impact for the region.

Special Events

  • All White Boat Party: On June 19, from 10:30 PM to 1:30 AM, enjoy a paid event aboard the Gateway Clipper Fleet, featuring DJs and dancing.
  • Juneteenth Parade: Join the 9th annual parade on June 21, from 10
  • AM to 1 PM, celebrating the end of chattel slavery and constitutional amendments.
  • YouthFest: Daily activities from 9
  • AM to 4 PM, including sports tournaments and a fun zone for children.
  • Freedom Talks: On June 21, from 2

PM to 6 PM at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, attend educational

sessions with speakers like Tim

Wise and 19-Keys.

  • Point State Park Celebration: A separate event will be held at Point State Park, featuring cultural activities and performances.
  • Fusion Fest: Organized by Bounce Marketing, this event will take place in Downtown Pittsburgh and the Hill District, celebrating Black culture through art, fashion, food, music, and dance.
