BRENTWOOD, Pa.; December 18, 2025 – Members of Brentwood High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) spent a day of service at the Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church in Brentwood on December 17.

For more than a decade, Brentwood’s NHS students have assisted the Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church Food Pantry in setting up for their holiday distribution. The NHS students brought more than 250 items of non-perishable food in a drive initiated by senior Elizabeth Schubert in November. That drive also brought in an additional 200 non-perishable food items that were donated before Thanksgiving to the Brentwood Food Pantry at the Brentwood Presbyterian Church.

The NHS students also sorted warm articles of clothing, set up the Santa Shop and arranged the food pantry inventory in preparation for the Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church Food Pantry’s largest and final distribution of the year on Saturday, Dec. 20.

The Stewart Avenue Lutheran Church’s food pantry serves residents of Carrick, Brentwood and Baldwin.

Amy Kiryk and Kristin Cramer are the Brentwood NHS co-sponsors.
