Live! Casino recently announced the totals for this year’s third round of GiveBack Boxes for local charities. Thanks to the generosity of casino guests, the entertainment venue raised $6,704.76 for Shop with a Cop and $6,322.93 for Best of the Batch Foundation.

Sean Sullivan, general manager of Live! Casino Pittsburgh, presented checks to representatives from the two charities. State Trooper Steve Limani, founder, accepted the check on behalf of Shop with a Cop. Accepting on behalf of Best of the Batch Foundation was founder and former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch.

“We are happy to be able to give back to our community and support local partners who do such meaningful work,” said Sullivan. “We look forward to investing in more local partnerships in the future as a way to build stronger connections for a stronger community.”

The fourth quarter charities for the GiveBack Box program are Sage's Army and Norwin Area Meals on Wheels.

Sage’s Army offers support, guidance and resources to all people in the Greensburg area who have been affected by substance use. It also advocates for people who use drugs (PWUD) by facilitating trainings, educating the public, and ending the stigma about PWUD and people in recovery.

Norwin Area Meals on Wheels serves residents in North Huntingdon, Irwin and North Irwin by preparing and delivering hot meals on a permanent or temporary basis. Recipients pay a moderate charge for the meals and include those who are frail or elderly, disabled, or recovering from an accident, illness, or surgery and cannot cook for themselves.
