Get ready, Pittsburgh! The Soul Food Festival-A Soulful Taste of the Burgh-is set to return to Downtown Pittsburgh from Friday, August 29

through Sunday, August 31, 2025. This annual celebration of Black culinary excellence, culture, and community will once again take place in Market Square and along the Boulevard of the Allies, between Wood Street and Stanwix Street.

The 2025 festival promises a mouthwatering Beyond the delectable food, the festival array of soul food classics and innovative will feature a dynamic lineup of live dishes. Attendees can look forward to indulging performances, including national artists in favorites like fried chicken, collard greens, and local bands. While the 2025 mac and cheese, yams, gumbo, shrimp and entertainment schedule is still being grits, and loaded oxtail macs.

Over 100 small finalized, previous festivals have hosted business vendors and food service proprietors acts like Tweet, Keith Washington, Ronnie will showcase their culinary talents, offering a Laws, Sevyn Streeter, and Jadakiss • diverse selection of Southern cuisine and ethnic Attendees can also enjoy DJ sets, cultural foods.

Founded in 2019 by William B. Marshall and organized by Stop the Violence Pittsburgh, the Soul Food Festival aims to honor the city's Black food service pioneers, dating back to 1795 with Charles Richards' establishment of Pittsburgh's first Black-owned restaurant and lodge. The festival not only celebrates culinary traditions but also serves as a platform for community engagement, cultural activities, craft vendors, and a BBQ contest, all celebrating Pittsburgh's Black Community Impact and Legacy.
