Grant Administrator (Volunteer)
Purpose:
Support the Foundation’s funding efforts by tracking grant outcomes and collecting impact
stories to demonstrate success to funders and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and document grant success metrics (e.g., number of students served, programs
funded, outcomes achieved)
Collect photos, testimonials, and stories from funded programs for reporting and
publication
Maintain organized grant documentation and reporting records
Collaborate with Communications and Social Media volunteers to share approved
success stories
Assist with grant reporting deadlines as needed
Skills & Experience:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable collecting data and working with basic metrics
Good written communication skills
Experience with grants, reporting, or nonprofit programs is a plus (not required)
Estimated Time Commitment:
5–10 hours per month, with periodic increases around reporting deadlines
Communications Chair (Volunteer)
Purpose:
Develop a clear, consistent communications approach that tells the Foundation’s story and keeps
stakeholders informed and engaged.
Key Responsibilities:
Create an annual communications plan aligned with Foundation goals
Develop and maintain a communications calendar (newsletters, announcements,
campaigns, events)
Draft messaging for email, website, and social media use
Ensure messaging is consistent with the Foundation’s mission and brand voice
Coordinate with Social Media Chair and other volunteers on content needs
Skills & Experience:
Strong writing and editing skills
Experience in communications, marketing, or public relations preferred
Ability to plan content strategically over time
Organized and deadline-oriented
Estimated Time Commitment:
5–10 hours per month
Social Media Chair (Volunteer)
Purpose:
Expand the Foundation’s online presence and engagement across social platforms to increase
awareness, participation, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Post approved, drafted content to Facebook and Instagram
Build and grow a TikTok presence for the Foundation
Monitor engagement and respond to comments or messages as appropriate
Collaborate with Communications Chair to align posts with the communications calendar
Track basic social media metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth)
Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
Creative mindset and comfort with social trends
Basic understanding of social media best practices
Experience managing nonprofit or community pages is a plus
Estimated Time Commitment:
3–6 hours per month
Sponsorship Chair (Volunteer)
Purpose:
Develop and manage a sponsorship program that engages local businesses and community
partners in supporting the Foundation’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Design a sponsorship program (tiers, benefits, recognition opportunities)
Identify and outreach to potential business sponsors
Build and maintain relationships with sponsors
Coordinate sponsor recognition with Communications and Events volunteers
Track sponsorship commitments and fulfillment
Skills & Experience:
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Experience in fundraising, sales, or business development preferred
Comfortable making outreach calls or emails
Organized and results-oriented
Estimated Time Commitment:
5–10 hours per month (may increase during campaigns or events)
Events Chair (Volunteer)
Purpose:
Plan and manage fundraising and community events that support the Foundation’s programs and
increase visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop an annual calendar of fundraising and engagement events
Lead planning and execution of events (logistics, volunteers, vendors)
Manage event budgets in coordination with the Treasurer
Coordinate promotions with Communications and Social Media volunteers
Oversee day-of event execution and post-event follow-up
Skills & Experience:
Strong project management and organizational skills
Experience planning events preferred
Ability to manage timelines, details, and volunteers
Comfortable working collaboratively across teams
Estimated Time Commitment:
5–15 hours per month, depending on event schedule
Treasurer (Volunteer)
Purpose:
Ensure responsible financial management and transparency for the Foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Foundation funds and oversee financial accounts
Distribute payments and reimbursements as approved
Track income and expenses accurately
Prepare regular budget and financial reports for leadership and the board
Support budgeting for events, grants, and programs
Ensure basic financial controls and recordkeeping best practices
Skills & Experience:
Background in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping preferred
Strong attention to detail and integrity
Comfortable working with budgets and financial reports
Experience with nonprofit finances is a plus
Estimated Time Commitment:
5–10 hours per month
