Coach Paul Stadelman, head coach of the Shaler Area High School Titan Boys Volleyball Team, has been honored as the 2023–24 PA Boys’ Volleyball Coach of the Year by the NFHS/PIAA. This prestigious recognition celebrates not only the team’s impressive performance, but also Coach Stadelman’s exceptional leadership and dedication.

“Under his guidance, the Titan’s Boys Volleyball Team achieved a remarkable record of 20-1, showcasing resilience and teamwork throughout the season. Coach Stadelman implemented innovative strategies and fostered an environment where players thrived both on and off the court,” says Clint Rauscher, Shaler Area School District Director of Athletics.

The selection, made by the PIAA Board of Directors, is based upon Coach Stadelman’s coaching impact as well as the success of Shaler Area Boys Volleyball during the 2023–24 school year. As part of the honor, Coach Stadelman is Pennsylvania’s nominee for National Coach of the Year.

Mrs. JoAnne Townsend, Assistant Principal of Shaler Area High School, shares, “Coach Stadelman’s dedication extends beyond the court, as he genuinely cares for his athletes' success both as athletes and academic scholars. He is committed to fostering strong volleyball players but also shaping their character and integrity. He has made a lasting impact, and this recognition is a testament to his leadership and influence both on and off the court. We couldn’t be more proud of his accomplishments.”
