Elizabeth Helen lineGertrude (Laich) Phillips, 97, of lineSlickville, formerly of New lineAlexandria, passed on lineSunday, February 25, 2024, at Green Health and Rehab Center.Known to many as "Libby", she was born on October 22,1926, to the late Joseph and Louise (Aloisia linePrimozic) Laich - Croation immigrants. Her linegodparents were Katherine and Matthew Marovich.Libby was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Phillips, on April 6, 2018. They had been linemarried 70 years. Together, they raised two children, Andrew Phillips of New Alexandria and Patricia (Melvin) Stanko of lineSlickville. They had three grandchildren: Chad (Carolyn) and Melary Stanko and the late Kim Lauffer.Libby was also preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Joseph, John, Martin and Matthew Laich; six sisters, Mary Laich, Lucy Macey, Angeline Palacki, Rose Zahorchak, Cecilia Marcinik and Kathryn Fontaine.Libby is also survived by one brother, Frank Laich of Latrobe, and one brother-in-law, Mike Phillips of Crabtree. She also leaves behind her great-grand-dog, Mia Rose.Libby was a member of The Nativity of the BlessedlineVirgin Mary Ukrainian lineCatholic Church in New Alexandria. A special thank you to her church family for all the prayers, liturgies and always remembering her birthday.Libby was a stay at home mom that enjoyed BINGO, word search books, puzzles, scratch-off lottery tickets, Lifetime movies, polkas, trips to the casino and her annual trip to PNC Park to watch the Pirates.
