Gerald A. Lavelle, 67, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024. He was born Oct. 29, 1956, in Greensburg, a son of the late Philip E. and Anna Mae (Berscnas) Lavelle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffrey and Michael Lavelle; and a sister, Maureen Tutino. He is survived by a brother, John Lavelle (Cheryl); and a sister, Victoria Knopp (David); and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry competed in the Special Olympics and won medals in swimming and diving. He was an avid bowler. He worked at the ARC in Greensburg as an aide in the kitchen and dining area. He loved to dance, ride his bike, swim at Oakford Park pool, and cut grass! Jerry was a blessing to his parents, helping to care for them in their advanced years. He was loved by all whose lives he touched. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of funeral liturgy at 1 p.m. Saturday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette.
