Donald A. DeCecco Sr., 68, of Ocala, Fla., passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024. Born in Pittsburgh, Donald was a beloved member of his family and community. Donald attended Churchill High School and will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and love for his family. After apprenticing as a tool and die maker at Westinghouse, Don worked at Fisher Body, Pittsburgh, then transferred to General Motors, Wentzville, Mo., where he retired as a supervisor in 2006. After three years as an expedited freight hauler with his wife, Janiene, he moved to Florida. He served for 10 years as Worthy Secretary at the Clermont and Belleview Aeries of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Softail with the Eagle Riders and was quite an accomplished guitar picker. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dorothy DeCecco; and son, Aaron Ullrich. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Janiene; sons, Donald, David (Sarah) and Daniel; and his precious grandbabies, Devon, Bennett, Miles, Sunny and Julian.
