Martha L. Lear, 86, of Unity Township, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, in Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital. She was born May 29, 1937, in Middlecreek Township, Somerset County, a daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Ohler) Phillippi. She was a member of Latrobe Alliance Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clair H. Lear; two brothers, John and Robert III; and two sisters, Yvonne and Emma Jean. She is survived by a brother, Wilbur Phillippi; two sisters, Betty Hyatt and Viola Kerns; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from noon to the time of service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, with Pastor Kirt Conroy officiating.
