Lewis D. Colosimo, 91, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, March 05, 2024, at Villa Angela at St. Anne Home. He was born June 14, 1932, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Theresa Vinci Colosimo. Lewis retired from PPG, South Greensburg, and served his country during the Korean Conflict in the Air Force. He was a long-time member of St. Paul Church served as an usher for many years, SNPJ Lodge 223, and a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #1480. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and golfing with friends. He especially loved watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Colosimo; six brothers, Pete, Frank, Santo, Tony, William, and George Colosimo; and five sisters, Angeline Sphon, Nellie Bachman, Rose Dolibois, Mary Fabery and Tessie Cramer. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 70 years, Joan Fry Colosimo; four children, John Colosimo (Mary) of Greensburg, Perry Colosimo (Mary McLaughlin) of Wexford, Lisa Jones (Casey) of Kenner, LA and Lewis D. Colosimo, Jr. (Susan) of Canonsburg; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Colosimo of McKees Rocks; nine grandchildren, Sarah Gang (Christian), Michael Colosimo (Ann), Kathryn Souder (Nicholas), Sean Colosimo, Joseph, Jonathan, Ben and Robbie Colosimo and Sophia Colosimo; a great-grandson, Graham Colosimo; numerous nieces and nephews; and his adoptive family, Stan, Beth, Ryan, Justin and Brendan Sliwoski. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Lewis, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., in St. Paul Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Greensburg. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard. The Knights of Columbus, Council # 1480 will hold services in the funeral home on Friday at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anne Benevolent Care Fund, 685 Angela Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.
