Daniel Wilt died unexpectedly at home on Oct. 6, 2024, in Springdale, Pennsylvania. He was 66. Dan was smart, funny, and loving and will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. His defining characteristic was his desire every day to be a better man. Dan was a mechanical engineer, but aside from his family, his real passion was music. He played guitar and piano and never fully gave up his dream to become a professional musician one day. He was a fan of rock music from the 1960s and 1970s, with a special affinity for the Beatles and Leon Russell. On their first date, he serenaded his future wife, Beth, with 'A Song for You.' Dan graduated from Springdale High School and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a degree in engineering. He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Beth Pride, and his children Anne Pride-Wilt, 29, of Washington D.C., and Henry Pride-Wilt, 27, of South Park, PA. He also leaves behind his adored mother, Betty Wilt, 99, his sisters Kathy Wilt and Carolyn Studt, his brothers Jack Wilt and David Wilt, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dan's father, John Wilt, passed away in 2021. A private family wake will be held to remember Dan. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the charity of your choice, and warmly remember Dan's wit and intelligence. Funeral arrangements by THE CHARLES B.
