William T. Moore Jr., 77, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8 at home. He was born Sept. 19, 1947, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late William T. and June (Dunlap) Moore Sr. He was an Army National Guard veteran and was retired from Central Westmoreland CTC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Troy Moore. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Carol (Lishego) Moore; two sons, William Moore (Lori) of Hunker, Rick Moore (Michelle) of Greensburg; and daughter-in-law, Amanda Moore of Tarrs; 11 grandchildren William, Breann (Brandon), Paige (Ronnie), Gavin, Lanie, Molly, Mason, Kayla (Jeremy), Ashley (Ben), Charlotte and Sophie. Siblings, Terry Moore (Karen) of Scottdale, Karla Keefer of Bullskin; and sister-in-law, Janet Swankler (Frank) of Greensburg. Friends will be received at the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Thursday, Oct. 10th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a blessing service Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Transfiguration Cemetery of Mt. Pleasant, where military funeral rites will be accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Assoc. The family would like to thank the nurses at Latrobe Hospital and the hospice nurses. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
