Robert L. Walter, 84, of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at Embassy of Saxonburg. He was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Natrona Heights to the late Charles and Violet (Williams) Walter. Robert lived his entire life in Natrona Heights where he was the owner/operator of R.L. Walter Agency, in Natrona Heights which he purchased in 1965. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era and Cuban Crisis serving in the US Navy. Robert attended Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #502 Tarentum and the Highlands Area Rotary where he was the past President. Robert graduated from Har Brack High School in 1958 and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Robert also started the Mister Donut in Natrona Heights which he owned from 1981 until he sold in 1997. Robert was very instrumental in organizing the Rails to Trails. He enjoyed golfing at River Forest Country Club and Brackenridge Heights Country Club, fishing, visiting the shore, and his class reunions. Robert especially enjoyed his family, children, grandchildren, and his pet cat Bonkers. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carol Ann (Molchan) Walter; his children Andrew L. (Kara) Walter, of Natrona Heights, and Jennifer A. Walter, of Duvall, Washington and twin granddaughters Hadley and Kendall Walter. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Richard McArthur.
