ITTSBURGH, PA – On the evening of May 23, 2024, Bernard Martin, Director of Communications for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP), and Alberto Sanchez, Vice President at KeyBank, proudly announced the return of the Youth Judging Program at this year's Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, building on the success of last year's inaugural event. During the announcement, commemorative plaques where presented by Martin to Sanchez and to Leon Haynes, Founding Chief Executive Officer of Hosanna House, in recognition of their pivotal collaboration.

This year, the Youth Judging Program is scheduled for August 3 at the Schenley Park events of the PVGP, where the iconic Mini will be featured as the Marque of the Year. Young judges from Hosanna House will have the opportunity to assess a collection of meticulously maintained Minis, engaging with the history and unique characteristics of this beloved automobile brand in collaboration with Mini of Pittsburgh.

In 2023, the program successfully kicked off with Hosanna House youth judges evaluating the Ferrari showcase, last year's Marque of the Year. The event culminated in the presentation of a Best of Show award, chosen by the participants. This year promises to build on that enthusiasm and learning as the focus shifts to another iconic marque.

"After trying to find an organizaiton that could staff a Youth Judging Program we where ecstatic the Leon and his team at Hosanna House stepped up to develop this program! The success at last year's event was a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone involved, and we are thrilled to continue this journey with Hosanna House," said Bernard Martin. "This initiative allows young participants to engage directly with automotive designers and aims to spark interest in automotive design, engineering, restoration, and repair " fields that are currently experiencing a surge in demand for skilled professionals."

"We are proud to support a program that educates and inspires the next generation of automotive enthusiasts and professionals," stated Alberto Sanchez of KeyBank. "This initiative aligns perfectly with our commitment to community engagement and educational enrichment."

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, now in its 42nd year, continues to be a hallmark event that celebrates automotive history and culture, while fostering educational opportunities and community involvement through programs like the Youth Judging initiative.
