Constance Vangura Solomon, known affectionately as Connie, passed away on June 9, 2024, at the age of 77 in Lehigh Acres, FL. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska on Sept. 12, 1946, Connie's vibrant personality and zest for life left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Connie's ability to strike up a conversation with anyone resulted in countless friendships throughout her life. Her interests were diverse and plentiful. She was passionate about crafting and had recently taking up painting. She also loved singing, cooking and gambling! Connie's adventurous spirit led her to some remarkable experiences, such as being pulled through the night snow on dog sleds in Alaska, singing on stage in Las Vegas, entertaining vacationers on a cruise ship, and even winning on Wheel of Fortune in 1988. Family was the cornerstone of Connie's life. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Solomon; daughter, Shannon Vangura; grandson, Ivan Yaworski; sister, Kimberly Palm; and sisters-in-law, Shawn Mikulas and Kelly Jubak. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jackie Jubak, and Steve Mikulas. Connie's warmth, enthusiasm, and joy for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
