After about 20 years serving pasta, steaks and seafood in O’Hara, Atria’s will be closing its doors.
The restaurant, which has been operating since 2003, plans to close Sunday. Incoming is Tepache Mexican Kitchen and Bar, which has a location in Mars.
“We own that particular location and had an offer to sell,” said Patrick McDonnell, CEO of Restaurant Holding Services, the Pittsburgh-based company that owns Atria’s restaurants and Juniper Grill with locations in Cranberry, Peters Township, Murrysville and Charlotte, N.C. The company also provides service for the National Aviary on the North Side.
McDonnell did not disclose a price.
He said the company wanted to focus on its four other Atria’s locations — Mt. Lebanon, Peters, Murrysville and Pleasant Hills — Juniper Grill and the Aviary.
“We want to concentrate on our other restaurants,” he said. “Juniper Grill is a new concept for us.”
Tepache owner and manager Jovanny Segoviano said renovations will last through the summer before an anticipated Oct. 1 opening.
“We are super excited,” Segoviano said.
