Charles R. Geary, 73, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023. Born Jan. 10, 1950, in Connellsville, son of the late Samuel and Carrie (Nedrow) Geary and first wife, Cynthia (Griffin) Geary. He was raised in Youngwood and attended the former First Presbyterian Church. He attended Hempfield Area High School and served in the Army. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Dept. of Corrections. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who spent time at the family hunting camp in Potter County. Chuck is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce (Bodnar) Geary; his daughter, Kimberly (Mark Sr.) Harris, of Jeannette; son, Joseph (Cathy) Geary, of New Kensington; four grandchildren, Kiara, Da'Shawn, Mark Jr. and Catrina; five great-grandchildren, Donavin, Allonah, Aniyla, Aluhkay and Omri; sisters Dorothy (Henry) Kopczak and Jean (Michael) Kern; and nephew, Tom Kopczak, all of Greensburg.
