Chester Lynn Price, 84, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at his home. He was born on March 23, 1940, to Thomas Price and Leona Seehoffer. He was a graduate of the Hempfield Area High School Class of 1959. He served in the Pennsylvania Army and Air National Guard from 1962 through 1969. He was a skilled machinist by trade and worked for the former ITE-Brown Boveri Plant in South Greensburg. After time spent in Texas and Florida, he returned to his hometown of Greensburg and retired from the Greensburg YMCA. After retirement, he joined his son, David, working for the former W. G. Balph Company making many friends and acquaintances. He will be remembered as a quiet and gentle man. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Chase Dennis Price. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia (Long) Price; his sons, Thomas Price and wife, Doreen, of Lompoc, CA, and David Price and wife, Kristy, along with their sons, Tanner and Greyson Price, of Greensburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Tomci and staff for their compassionate care of Chester.
