Richard F. Marciniak, 82, of Lower Burrell, died Wednesday Oct. 2, 2024, in Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. He was born in New Kensington on May 28, 1942, to the late Frank A. and Elizabeth Sobecki Marciniak and had been a lifelong resident of the local area. Mr. Marciniak graduated from Ken High in 1960 and went on to serve in the Army. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in chemistry and worked as a technical service manager for PPG for 38 years until retiring in 2003. He was a member of Friends of People's Library. He loved golfing and was an avid fan of the Pitt Panthers and Steelers. He also enjoyed coin collecting, crossword puzzles and watching PGA Golf. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia A. Adams Marciniak; nieces, Claudia (Robert) Petit and Beth Ann (Thomas) Breslin; and nephew, Kevin (Lisa) Waner. Besides his parents he was preceded by his first wife Bonita Scalzott Marciniak, brother Thomas Marciniak and sister Dolores Waner. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder St. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday by Rev. Brian Kilbert followed by Military Honors by the Army. Burial will be private in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
