Judith G. McClain, 76, of Donegal, died on Sunday May 26, 2024, in Scottdale Rehabilitation. She was born on March 3, 1948, in Ohiopyle, a daughter of the late Melvin and Mae Burnsworth Dean. Judy was employed at Pleasant Trucking for many years. She was a member of the Bridgeport Sportsmen Club, the Donegal American Legion, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliaries. She was also a member of the First Brethren Church of Mount Pleasant. She is survived by her loving husband and caretaker, William B. McClain; his children, David Dean and his wife, Christine, of TX, Paula Shaffer of Connellsville, and Chad LaRosa of Melcroft; her step-children, Billi Gowatski and her husband, Shawn, of Bullskin Twp., and Michael McClain and Joshua McClain, both of Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Leonard of Connellsville; and two very special sisters-in-law, Lois Shaw and Phyllis Seder. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Russell Nicholson; and her former husbands, Paul LaRosa and George Soverns. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant and on Friday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of services with Rev. Vera Avery officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery.
