Marguerite Ferlin Kenney, 96, passed on July 15, 2024, in Columbia, SC. Formerly, she resided in Crabtree, PA. She was born on Jan., 16, 1928. At the time of her arrival in heaven, the featured members of her greeting party will include her parents, Joe and Marie Ferlin; her husband, Jack (married in 1946); sons, Paul and Ron; siblings, Dolores Kepchia, Ruth Ann Robinson, Judy Ferlin (Sister Lorraine Marie), John and Regis; plus a legion of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She leaves behind daughter-in-law, Nerian Taylor (Don) and her daughter, Deanna Kenney Hrosik (Mike), and their children, Haley and Ryan; son, Jack (Peggy) and their children, Justin (Michele) and his stepdaughter, Allison McIntyre and their son, Connor; daughter, Jessica Cratty and her children, Myron and Mae; daughter, Maureen Fleck (Jim) and their child, Danielle Jackson (Danny) and their children, Ansley, Gavin, and Blaise; son, Pat, (Posie) and their children, Kellie Love (Dave) and their children, Evelyn and Audrey; Shane (Debby) and their children, Ashleigh and Daniel; Katie Barbee (Randal), her child, Susan Hecox and Susan's children, Marialena and Mateo, and their children, Rylie, Morgan, Gabriella, and Payton; Megan Wilson (Bryan) and their children, Abel and Sayler; son, Don (Lael) and their children, Manya Salyer (Thomas), Emma Madsen (Ian), and Madison; son, Kevin (Jamie)and his son, Ryan and stepdaughter, Celeste Pierce. Also surviving are Marguerite's siblings, Joe Jr. (Frances), Don (Billie), Rita Marie Lucotch, Gerry Trout (Tom), Beverly Spellman (George), and Arlene Stahl (Ron.) Marguerite found great comfort and joy in spiritual life and Catholic traditions. Every day, she paced the floor saying the rosary, and read numerous prayer cards on behalf of her families' health, safety, and salvation. The Lord was truly her shepherd. She connected to things bigger than herself by volunteering with the Crabtree Fire Department Auxiliary, the St. Bartholomew Ladies Auxiliary, and the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. She cherished family gatherings on Sundays and holidaysthe more the merrier. In all of her years, she never missed sending holiday and birthday cards to her many family members, relatives, and friends. She took great pride in baking and shared her tasty talents with family and neighbors. While raising seven children, she worked a variety of jobs to pay the bills and put food on the table. Hers was a life in service to others. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Marguerite from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, in the CLEMENT L. Prayers of transfer will be said at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, July 27, in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree, PA.
