Allegheny County Concert Series to feature Cyril Neville

Cyril Neville will perform NOLA funk and soul music Sunday at the free 2026 Summer Concert series at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, 4070 Middle Road, Hampton.

The opening act will be the local band Norside. Black Dog Winery and Hop Farm Brewing trucks will be on site beginning at 6 p.m. Bring a chair. Popup tents and umbrellas are permitted but must be taken down before the performance begins. Dogs are permitted but must be on a leash at all times and be up to date on all vaccinations and licensing.


Reservations being accepted for free smoke alarms

Free smoke alarms are available to residents of Cheswick, Harmar and Springdale Township.

Alarms will be installed from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 25. Reservations are required. For a reservation, call 412-263-5278. The distribution is sponsored by Rep. Mandy Steele, Allegheny Valley Volunteer Fire Company and the American Red Cross.


Car cruise to benefit Leechburg Public Library

Leechburg Public Library will host a Rally on the River car cruise from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the borough Riverfront Park, 70 Kiski Ave.

Vehicle check-in will begin at noon. There will be music by Ms. Freddye from 2 to 4 p.m., vehicle awards, a basket raffle, food trucks and a 50-50. Vehicle fee is $10.


Yacht Club Regatta sets sail Saturday in Oakmont

The annual Oakmont Yacht Club Regatta will be from noon. to 11 p.m. Saturday at the club, 11 Washington Ave., Oakmont.

A flag-raising ceremony will officially open the event at noon and there will be a DJ followed by three bands, food, beverages, a silent auction, face painting, games and a classic boat display.

A fireworks display over the river will be at 9:30 p.m. The public is welcome.
