Marion L. (Kenyon) Sukanovich, 79, of Ligonier died July 27, 2024, in Life's Promise Personal Care Home. She was born Feb. 21, 1945, in Pittsburgh and was the oldest of eleven siblings. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Westminster College and post graduate work from Slippery Rock University and Syracuse University in NY. She was certified and taught in three states PA, NY and ME for 40 years. Because of her degree in music, she sang, directed choirs and played the organ in PA, NY and ME. She also served as the organist/ choir director at St. Michaels of the Valley Episcopal Church in Rector. Marion is survived by her two daughters, Wendee Sukanovich (Mark Morgan), Kristee (Gordie) Morgan; two granddaughters, Samantha and Alexandria Morgan; sisters, Virginia (David) Hahn, Gwendolyn Kenyon and Mary Kenyon, brothers; Arthur L. Kenyon, Henry (Martha) Kenyon, David (Sheila) Kenyon, John (Isie) Kenyon, William (Lynn) Kenyon and Keith Kenyon; sister-in-law, Ginny Kenyon. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Charles Sukanovich; her parents Rev. Walter R. and Mary L. Kenyon; and her brother, Dr. Walter Wynn Kenyon. Family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 1, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the MCCABE FUNERAL HOME, Ligonier. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 AM, in the Pioneer Presbyterian Church 240 W.
