Prime Stage Theatre Cemetery Walk

Learn about history with a theatrical tour of Allegheny Cemetery in Lawrenceville on Saturday. Prime Stage Theatre will present its Cemetery Walk, bringing the stories of historical locals to life.

Rain or shine, the noon to 4 p.m. event will offer 12 one-hour tours through the grounds. Figures brought to life in the tour include Evelyn Nesbit Shaw, Thomas Shields Clarke, Henry Oliver and more.

Jimmy Carr at the Byham Theater

British comedian Jimmy Carr will perform at the Byham Theater in Downtown Pittsburgh on Sunday. The international phenom has played to sold-out crowds in scores of countries, bringing his charm and incisive wit to stages the world over.

Carr is popular as a host and participant on a variety of British panel shows, and he was also the first British comedian to sign a deal with Netflix a decade ago.

Pogopalooza

Hop on this weekend-long pogo event with tons of high-flying opportunities. Things will jump off on Friday night on Sixth Street between Penn Avenue and Fort Duquesne Boulevard, where participants will vie for the high jump trophy at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday at XPogo Headquarters in Wilkinsburg will start the pogo freestyle qualifiers and technical finals at 3 p.m., and Sunday will hold the Best Trick competition, the Freestyle Finals and a 15-and-under Bounce-Off, all in Wilkinsburg and starting at 3 p.m.

Pittsburgh CLO’s ‘Camelot’

Have a lovely night out at the theater with ‘Camelot,’ the opening show of Pittsburgh CLO’s very cinematic summer season.

The legendary Lerne and Loewe musical follows the entanglements between King Arthur, Queen Guenevere and Sir Lancelot. With a number of recognizable standard showtunes and a magical story, this show will please audiences of any age.

Summer Safari at the Zoo

If you’re looking to get really fancy on Friday night, head to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium in Highland Park for its annual Summer Safari. This year’s theme is “Secret Garden,” so explore the whole zoo in your flashiest floral patterns to see what wonders await.
