Harry E. Buell Jr., 81, of Saltsburg, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born Feb. 28, 1943, in New Kensington, he was a son of the late Harry E. Buell and Charlotte (Miller) Buell. Harry was a 1961 graduate of Saltsburg High School, and proudly served our country with the United States Army. He loved golf, and served as the golf pro at Kenwood Country Club, Bethesda, MD, from 1965-1967. Harry worked as a carpenter with the local Carpenter's Union #333. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg. Harry enjoyed working in his yard, and loved the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Marlia Coates, who passed away in 2016; brothers, Ernie and Kenny Buell; and his nephew, Adam Buell. Harry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Charlene (Lanham) Buell; sons, Harry E. (Janine) Buell, III of Yardley, PA and Gregory L. (Coleen) Buell of Delmont; stepson, Lenny (Becky) Adams of Saltsburg; grandchildren, Logan, Sydney, Nolan, Cailey (Maiah), Clayton, Luke, Mitchell, Haley and Alyssa; great-grandchild, Levi; siblings, Donna Jean (Alex) Corridoni of Nowrytown, Francie (Linda) Buell of Walkersville, MD, Patty (Joseph) Greeves of Bethesda, MD, Sherri (Andrew) Curtis of Dayton, MD, Tammy Buell of Frederick, MD; as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in the CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg. Additional visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Tribute Service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in the funeral home. Following the services, interment will take place in Twin Valley Memorial Park, with military honors accorded by the Saltsburg American Legion Honor Guard.
