Marlene Minyon, 86, of New Kensington, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born February 5, 1938, in Creighton, to the late Joseph & Bertha Kois Kustra. Marlene was a graduate of Arnold High School and was employed for Valley House Group Home in Arnold, for 10 years, as a Dietary Coordinator. She was an avid cook and baker. Marlene was a member of St. Joseph Church, New Kensington, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and the Fisher Group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Minyon; son, Kenneth York; and sister, Wilma Kustra. Marlene is survived by her sons, Keith (Brenda) York and Kevin (Kerry) York; brothers, Joseph (Donna) Kustra and John (Jannene) Kustra; sister, Sophie Brenner; eight grandchildren, Stephen (Christinia) Gross, Beth Hirtz, Sean, Ericha, Kenneth Daniel, Zoe, Piper and Saxon York; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
