Stephen D. Payton, 45, of North Huntington, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, from complications during his courageous battle with cancer. Steve was a loving and devoted father who was exceptionally proud of his son, Blaze. He found pleasure in skateboarding, working out, gardening, and was a life-long WWE fan. Steve had an unwavering faith in the Lord and is now at home and at peace. In addition to his son, Blaze Payton, he is survived by brothers, Daniel and Sean Payton and Daryll Gordon. His aunts and uncles, Carolyn Drischler (with whom he resided), Charles (Jackie) Payton, Bobbie Pitman, and Laurie Payton. His close friends, Julie McCarthy and Nick Bolden, as well as multiple cousins and a large church family, all of whom will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and adoptive parents, Raymond and Alice Payton, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom he will now be reunited. A memorial service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, 2024, at The Church of Sutersville, 1683 Mars Hill Rd., Sutersville, PA 15083.
