Christopher Daniel Ritenour, 51, of Irwin, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 6, 2024, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. He was born July 17, 1972, in Pittsburgh, the son of Linda (Swenson) Bonacci and stepson of Anthony Bonacci. Chris is also survived by his sister, Sally Ostrowski and her husband P.J. of Munhall; aunts and uncles, Deborah Curtis, Robert (Carol) Swenson, and Lori (George) Thomas; and cousins, Nina Saccamano, Robert Swenson, Thomas Swenson, Samuel (Amy) Swenson, Joseph Thomas, and Carly (Adam) Glasgow. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Jean Swenson. He was an active member of Shafton Volunteer Fire Department and a social member of several others. He had a passion for photographing firetrucks and trains, and loved a night of karaoke and attending concerts with friends. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin, and worked at Fontana's Caf as a dishwasher prior to his illness. Chris was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Friends were received from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Main St., Irwin with Pastor Sarah Lee-Faulkner officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery.
