Edward R. 'Skip' Brown, 87, of Mount Pleasant, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, June 29, 2024. A native of Bridgeport, Skip was the son of the late Harry 'Bud' Brown and Dorothy Gayle (Smitley) Brown. Skip had a servant's heart, with a whistle and a song. A member of Pennsville Baptist Church, he served the Lord throughout his life in many different capacities. Skip was a skilled carpenter, and in retirement, he continued to use his woodworking skills to produce beautiful wooden lath art pieces for family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Manetta; daughters, Karen Bullock (Alan) of Raleigh, NC and Lu Ann Gordy (Ron) of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Jonathan Bullock, Kristina Brodie, Hannah Gordy, Emma Gordy, and the late Danielle Gordy; as well as great-grandsons, Gabriel, Chase, and Landon Bullock. Visitation will be at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 303 Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 2, with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at Pennsville Baptist Church, 3298 Richey Rd., Mt Pleasant.
