Victoria Ann 'Vikki' Campbell, age 65, resident of Irwin, died Sunday, May 26, 2024. She was born on May 4, 1959, in McKeesport, a daughter of Donald A. Campbell and the late Rita Mae (Winkelvoss) Campbell. She was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 1977. After graduation, she attended Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, in the Upper Peninsula, where she studied social sciences and early childhood education. While in college, she made many lifelong friends and served as Vice-President of the Student Senate. Vikki enjoyed Sault Ste. Marie so much that she stayed there nearly a decade before returning to PA where she was employed in a variety of jobs. She was a creative artist who was skilled in an array of mediums, and she delighted in gifting her art and crafts to friends, family, and acquaintances. Vikki was a free-spirited individual with a passion for life and had an infectious laugh. She devoted much of her free time to civic, social, and political causes that she believed in. She was a strong proponent of the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi who said, 'Be the change you wish to see in the world.' In addition, Vikki loved music, particularly that of the 1960s and 70s. Vikki was most proud of her son, Evan, and enjoyed keeping her family and friends informed of his accomplishments and loved him to no end. She will be missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered as a fierce fighter for the causes she was committed to and overcame much adversity and health challenges while maintaining a largely upbeat and positive outlook on life. In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Evan Campbell of North Huntington; and brothers, Timothy Campbell (Gail) of North Huntington, and Christopher Campbell (Mark Young) of Parish, FL, and their children, niece, Angel and nephew, Timmy.
