Most of us don’t have anyone to root for in the Super Bowl this weekend. So if you feel like ignoring it altogether and doing something else that’s more fun, here are some non-football-related events to enjoy.

Crafts and Drafts 10-year anniversary

East End Brewing Co. is celebrating 10 years of its Crafts and Drafts event Saturday. The brewery is having back as many of its original vendors from that Feb. 7, 2015, show as possible, including Gold Dust Floral, Alternate Histories and Luster. An array of vendors will sell crafted products from jewelry to screenprinted shirts to ceramics.

The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at East End Brewing Co. in Larimer. There will also be live portrait painting, vintage records for sale and DJed music to soundtrack your shopping. Find out more at eastendbrewing.com.

Zainab Johnson at the Pittsburgh Improv

Comedian Zainab Johnson will be at the Improv for four shows Friday and Saturday — and you won’t want to miss it.

Currently a series regular on Amazon Prime’s “Upload,” Johnson offers a unique perspective that makes her one of the most sought-after up-and-coming standups right now. She’s made appearances on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and “Last Comic Standing” and was named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch.”

Shows will be held on Friday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Saturday at 6:30 and 9 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Improv in the Waterfront. For tickets and more info, visit improv.com/pittsburgh.

Valentine’s Day Dinner at the Zoo

Ready for a romantic time this pre-Valentine’s weekend? You probably didn’t think of the zoo as the place to go to get in the mood, but give it a shot.

Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m., the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium in Highland Park will offer hors d’oeuvres, dinner and an “adults only” educational show about mating in various animals.

The $100 dinner includes salad, entree and dessert, plus small animal visits and live music. There will also be silent auctions and a cash bar. Curious about the menu? Take a peek and get your tickets at pittsburghzoo.org.

Glass Lifeforms at the Pittsburgh Glass Center

It’s a bird, it’s a plant, it’s …. made of glass? Head to the Pittsburgh Glass Center starting Friday to see the juried exhibition “Glass Lifeforms.” With 50 plants, animals and insects made from glass, there’s something captivating to see anywhere you look.

The works on display span many different types of life, but also many techniques as well, including stained glass, fusing, kiln casting, pâte de verre, blown glass, flameworking and more.

“Glass Lifeforms” will run through April 20, but there will be a free opening reception on Friday night at the Garfield center. The reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. To learn more, visit pittsburghglasscenter.org.

“Tall Tees” 2000s R&B Night

Keeping the “Tall Tees” tradition of 2000s R&B and hip hop nights alive, Spirit will host this 2000s R&B dance party on Saturday night.

The Lawrenceville event space will play host to DJ Femi and Doctor Dap as they spin some of the great jams of the aughts, from Brandy to Jennifer Lopez to Destiny’s Child to John Legend. It’s the time of year to get romantic, so enjoy these modern classic songs to feel the love.

The 21 party kicks off at 9 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door, so make sure you get yours now at spiritpgh.com.
