Gary Robert Guyon, age 63, of Englewood, Florida, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away August 28, 2024. He was born November 24, 1960 in Greensburg, a son of the late Robert and Norma Guyon. He is survived by his brother David (Sara) Guyon of North Huntingdon; and niece Hannah (Zachary) Truncali of Marlboro, New York. He graduated from Norwin High School in 1978, received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Westminster College, and his Master's Degree in Music from Duquesne University. He was most recently the organist at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice Florida for over 14 years, and served in similar capacity for various other ministries over the past 40 years in the region of Sarasota Florida. Gary was a sincerely God loving and God fearing man with a heart of gold and passion for the under privileged and the poor. He dedicated his life in service to the Lord as an organist/pianist for the Catholic church and as a mission worker for the prison ministry, and he loved the Lord and anyone God put in his path. Anyone who knew Gary, knew he was generous and kind and never spoke a bad word about anyone. People around him enjoyed his company and sense of good humor and fun. Although a little quirky at times, he truly was a very bright and intelligent man with a keen understanding of all faiths and dedicated himself to more than just one organization. Gary was a pure soul and deeply devoted and in love with Jesus. Jesus decided to bring him home as his work was now accomplished, and he will be greatly missed. Services were private. A memorial service will be announced at a later time. Interment was at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon Township. Arrangements were handled by the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. Donations in Gary's honor can be made to Kairos Prison Ministry of Florida, www.kairosfl.org.
