Robert Bob J. Bock, 74, of New Stanton, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at home. He was born Nov. 23, 1949, in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Joseph and Irene Choby Bock. After receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Bob founded and owned Bock Insurance, North Huntingdon, for over 45 years. Today it is proudly run by the next generation of the Bock family, continuing to keep Bob's legacy alive. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Scottdale and volunteered as a minister at area prisons for over 40 years. He was a true outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and spending time at Ohiopyle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Dylan Ellington; and sisters, Marianne Wooley and Doloris Clark. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife and best friend of 49 years, Jeanie M. Ackerly Bock; three children, Linda Mayo, of Platte City, Mo., Joseph Bock, of North Huntingdon, and Christina Ellington (Michael), of Empire, Colo.; four grandchildren, Abigail and Naomi Maresch, Autumn Mayo and Henry Bock; a sister, Geri Angotti (Daniel), of Kansas City, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
