Susan Elizabeth (Love) Dell, 83, passed away on Friday, Mar. 15, 2024. Born Sept. 24, 1940 in Latrobe, Susan was the daughter of the late George H. and Elizabeth Letitia (Werner) Love. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Byron R. Dell; and her brother, George H. Love Jr. Susan was Catholic by faith and was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish, Latrobe. She attended Plymouth High School in Plymouth, MI, and graduated from Derry Area High School. She went on to earn her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She enjoyed camping with her children and grandchildren, taking nature walks, literature, music, art and the rescuing of several Pomeranian senior pups. Susan's family was her world and she is survived by three daughters, Tish Darazio (Allan), Barb Mock (Terry) and Suzie Klimchock (Matt); one son, Michael Dell; seven beloved grandchildren, who knew her as Grandma, Melissa Beck (Jesse), TJ Mock (Anna), Kacie Pence (Lee), Nick Mock (Jordan Morosini), Chris Mock, Kory Klimchock (Becky Cribbs) and Kyle Klimchock (Nisa Sabdarali); three beloved great-grandchildren, Jase Beck, Parker Pence and Porter Pence; three sisters-in-law, JoAnn Love, Shirley Connor and Dorothy Dell; one brother-in-law, Donnie Dell; as well as several nieces and nephews. Not to be forgotten are her 'Michigan Family,' her high school friend and sister by choice, Myrna Payton, whose friendship has brought forth three generations of love and family. The family would like to give a special thanks to her loving caregivers, Tish Tomlinson and Brandie Dunlap for their excellent care and compassion. Family and friends will be received from 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. Members of the St. Vincent Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent Basilica.
