David John Mottura, 33, of Buffalo Township, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 24, 1991, in Houston, TX. David is Catholic by faith. A 2010 graduate of Freeport High School and a 2016 graduate of Slippery Rock University, he enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his family and friends, attending sporting events and supporting the Pittsburgh sports teams and his hometown Texas sports teams. Survivors include his parents, Ray and Nancy Mottura of Buffalo Township. His paternal grandmother, Irene Mottura of Vandergrift; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Barbara Tucker; and his paternal grandfather, Raymond 'Jeep' Mottura. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, in the DUNMIRE-KERR AND ROWE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 244 Franklin Avenue, Vandergrift. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. til time of a Blessing Service at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Fr. Alan N. Polczynski as celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift.
