Phillip M. Reitz, 78, of West Deer Township, passed Thursday, Mar. 21, 2024, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. He was born Sept. 21, 1945, in Harrison Township to the late Raymond and Evelyn (Phillips) Reitz. Phillip lived most of his life in Lower Burrell. He was a purchasing agent for Westmoreland Housing and the University of Pittsburgh. Phillip was a veteran of the Vietnam era, serving in the US Army. He was a member of the Masonic Bethel Lodge, Lower Burrell, and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in economics. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patricia E. (Hranica) Reitz; daughter, Ashley L. Bragg, of Chambersburg; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Reitz, of Peters Township; and grandchildren, Natalie, Maximillian, Mallory, and Henrik Reitz, Maddox, Alec, and Piper Bragg. Also surviving is his sister, Christine Lueck, of Las Vegas, NV. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bradley Reitz; and sisters, Sylvia Rieg and Kathy Brown; and brother-in-law, Paul Rieg. A memorial service was held in DUSTER FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 347 E 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526, with Reverend Drew Von Aux officiating.
