Evelyn J. Sova, 73 of New Stanton died on Thursday July 4, 2024, at her residence. She was born on April 23, 1951 in Hutchinson, Westmoreland County, only daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Bogac Lichwa. Evelyn was formerly employed at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, now Independence Health Westmoreland. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant. She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Bargerstock and her husband Henry of Hunker and Kristy Sova and William Hayward of Pittsburgh; her granddaughter, Bella Bargerstock; her brother, Joseph Lichwa of Honolulu, HI and numerous cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Lichwa. Family and friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. Monday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, Pa. where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mount Pleasant.
