Country singer Dave Stout, who hosts the weekly open stage at Yellow Bridge Brewing in Delmont, will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. July 9 at Newhouse Park in the borough.

Clelian Heights bingo
Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children & Adults will host a bingo night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 14 at the school, 135 Clelian Heights Lane in Hempfield.
The event is open to anyone older than 18 with an autism, intellectual, or developmental disability diagnosis, along with their parents, caregivers, family and friends. Entry is $10 per person.

National Night Out
Murrysville Police will host their annual National Night Out from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 4.
Attendees can meet with police, fire and EMS officials. A medical helicopter landing will take place at 7 p.m., and food trucks from Poulich Pit Express, Bull River Tacos, Wok on Wheels and Kona Ice of Westmoreland will be on hand.
The event will be at the Murrysville public works building, 4200 Sardis Road.

Grave marker dedication
The Export Historical Society will hold a dedication ceremony July 13 for new headstones at the burial site of Revolutionary War veteran John McIlduff and his wife, Ann.
McIlduff’s family survived an encounter with hostile members of the Seneca tribe in 1782, who burned his cabin as his wife and son hid in the woods.
In gratitude for their survival, McIlduff donated land to build a new house of worship that became the first Emmanuel Lutheran Church. The McIlduffs are buried in the old Lutheran Church Cemetery along Roosevelt Avenue.
The dedication will take place at 6 p.m. July 13.
Trail spur open house
The Delmont Visionary Committee will host a July 14 open house for the public to learn more about the project to create a spur leading from the Westmoreland Heritage Trail into the borough.
It will be at 7 p.m. at the Delmont Public Library, 75 School St.
Visionary committee members will update the public on their trail feasibility study and share feedback they have received.

Bocce league seeks players
The Murrysville Senior Center Indoor Bocce League is offering instruction and practice for new players at 12:30 p.m. Mondays during June and July at the Murrysville Community Center, 3091 Carson Ave.
Participants must be 50 or older. Fall league play will begin at 1 p.m. Mondays in August. The league features free play, and openings are available for both regular team members and substitute players.

‘The Great Locomotive Chase’
Trinity United Church of Christ in Delmont will host an Aug. 8 presentation on “The Great Locomotive Chase of 1862.”
The chase was a military raid by Union soldiers and volunteers in north Georgia during the Civil War. Civilian scout James Andrews commandeered a steam locomotive nicknamed “The General” and took it north toward Chattanooga, Tenn., doing as much damage as possible along the way to the Western & Atlantic Railroad line, a crucial piece of Confederate infrastructure during the war.
Living history presenter Ken Serfass will give the presentation, which will be at 1 p.m. Aug. 8 at the church, 39 Pittsburgh St. in Delmont.

Murder mystery at library
The Delmont Public Library will host an evening featuring four murder mysteries. Participants will choose their “case file” and try to catch the killer at 4:30 p.m. July 23.
Each of the four mysteries has a limit of six participants. The event is for those 16 and older.

‘Tuesdays at Townsend’
The Murrysville Recreation Department will host its free “Tuesdays at Townsend” summer concert series at 6:30 p.m. on select dates at Townsend Park, 130 Townsend Park Court.

‘Boomers & Beyond’
The Mother of Sorrows Church’s “Boomers & Beyond” series will continue at noon July 14 with a presentation on common skin ailments.
Dr. Lauren Falcone, a dermatologist who works at UPMC Community Medicine, will present “Common Dermatological Ailments: What You Can Do at Home to Treat Them and When to Seek Professional Care.”
It will touch on common issues such as warts, eczema and skin cancers.
It will be in the church’s social hall, 4202 Old William Penn Highway in Murrysville. There is no cost to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring a bag lunch and a friend. Beverages will be provided.

Library museum passes
Westmoreland County Libraries has partnered with several regional museums to offer free general admission to library-card holders for up to two adults and four children.
Passes can be obtained for Historic Hanna’s Town, West Overton Village, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, Fort Ligonier Museum, the Lincoln Highway Experience, the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department and the historic Bushy Run Battlefield.
Passes can be checked out for one week.
Cardholders are advised to check availability with their local library.

Singles welcome
The Association of University People (AUP) welcomes singles 55 and older, who are four year college graduates, to join them for various activities and to meet new friends.
Events include happy hours, brunches, lunches, dinners, meet-ups at live music venues and local wineries, picnics, our unique book group, day trips, and Scrabble.

The PA Lyme Resource Network will host a monthly Lyme disease support group meeting.
