Senior driver class
Juniper Village at Forest Hills will host a Seniors for Safe Driving class April 16 that offers participants a chance to receive a discount on their car insurance.
Drivers age of 55 and older can lower their car insurance by 5% for the next three years by taking the course, which will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Juniper Village, 107 Fall Run Road in Forest Hills. The cost is $17 and no driver’s exam is required.

Free community Easter dinner
Christ the Divine Shepherd Church will host a free Easter dinner from 12:30-3 p.m. March 31 at the church, 245 Azalea Drive in Monroeville.

Symphony East musicians set to perform
Symphony East will kick off its 62nd season March 18 with four musicians from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Violinists Regi Papa, violist Marylene Gingras-Roy and cellist Mikhail Istomin will perform at 1 p.m. A $10 donation is requested for adults who attend.
It will take place at the Lamplighter, 6566 William Penn Highway in Salem.

Car show benefit scheduled for April
The Steel City Chapter of the Heavy Hitters Car Club will host an April 21 car show at the Boyce Park Wave Pool.
It will be from noon to 5 p.m. at 740 Old Frankstown Road in Plum, with special guest host and former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Louis Lipps.
The entry fee is $10 and the event will include food, music, a 50-50 and basket raffles along with awards in seven categories.

Kindergarten registration open
Gateway School District officials announced that kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year is open.
Parents can go to Gatewayk12.org/resources/parent-resources/registration to complete an online enrollment form. Kindergarten screenings will take place in May.

Divine Mercy school, Divine Shepherd church events planned
Divine Mercy Academy School and Christ the Divine Shepherd Church, 245 Azalea Drive, Monroeville, are planning these events:
• Stations of the Cross are held at the church every Friday at 2 p.m. during lent. At 7 p.m. on March 22, seventh graders from the school will be offering “silhouette stations,” at which time they will pose behind white fabric to demonstrate each station.
