Wanda Dahlia Schuffert, 88, of Upper Burrell Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Slickville on Aug. 3, 1935, to Mary Dombrowski Daugherty, and lived in Upper Burrell for much of her life. Mrs. Schuffert was a graduate of Plum High School and was a long-time member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church of New Kensington. She was a caretaker for the elderly, as she enjoyed helping others. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert M. Schuffert, who passed away in 2012; and a grandson, Christopher Allan Schuffert. Survivors include her adored children, Robert (Anita) Schuffert, Frank (Dianne) Schuffert, Mari Lynn (Rick) Klein, Carol (John) Magill, and Terry (Tiffany) Schuffert; beloved grandchildren, David (Heather) Mann, Rachel (Anthony) Febbraio, Nicholas Schuffert, Eric, and Kevin Klein; cherished great-grandchildren, Brennin, Mariah, Aryanna, Braeanna and Daenerys Mann, and Damien and Giada Febbraio; also brother-in-law, Art (Judy) Schuffert; and several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be on Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a funeral outside of Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
