Darrel A. "Joe" Stoops, 82, of Latrobe, formerly of Plum, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at his home. He was born Oct. 28, 1941, son of the late Darrel and Frances (Schafer) Stoops. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathleen (Kukurin) Stoops. Joe served his country in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania. He was a 50-year member of the Plum Creek Masonic Hall, as well as an SAR Member. Joe is survived by his daughter, Michele Stoops; a brother, William (Mary Ann) Stoops; and beloved granddog, Haddie. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, at HART FUNERAL HOME INC. A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at the funeral home.
