Nancy B. Cunningham, 83, of Freeport, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many passed away Saturday, June 29, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. Nancy lived her entire life in Freeport, PA and was a cherished member of the community. Nancy was born in Natrona Heights, on September 28, 1940, a daughter of the late Jane (Ralston) and Joseph L. Brant. She was married to Robert G. Cunningham in 1961. She graduated Freeport High School in 1958, and attended Allegheny College and Robert Morris School of Business. Nancy worked as an office manager at Dr. Daniel Metzger Dental Practice and as a supervisor at JC Penney for many years. Nancy was a long-time member, volunteer and leader at the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport. She loved traveling, especially to the beach with her sister and the Medicaid Marvels. She often could be found traveling to Colorado to cheer on her grandson in sports or watch her granddaughter's dance performances. She also enjoyed reading, attending Bible Study groups and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her sons, Robert E. (Pegi) Cunningham of Gibsonia, and Joseph S. (Amy) Cunningham of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, Trent, Alex, Quinn and Chloe; and her sister, Sally Miller as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Cunningham, her brother, Jack Delahunty and sister, Marcia Magnetta. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 16 at 6 p.m. in United Presbyterian Church of Freeport, 411 High St., Freeport, with Pastor Adam Clever officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/UPCFFREEPORTPA/. The service will be followed by a dessert reception. Nancy was a strong supporter of and advocate for research related to Potocki Lupski Syndrome, a rare condition that affects her granddaughter, Chloe.
