Howard B. Sutton, 90, of West Newton, died Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was born Dec. 23, 1933, in Elizabeth, a son of the late Clarence and Helen (Frye) Sutton. Prior to retirement, he was employed by U.S. Steel Homestead Works. Howard was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church, the LOOM #31 of West Newton, and volunteered at the West Newton Senior Center. He attended many dances with his lady friend, Ginny Patton. Surviving are his daughters, Catherine Votino and husband, Thomas, Lori Newman and husband, Michael, and Lisa Manley and husband, Harry; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche (Quinn) Sutton; children, Carol Ann, Ronald, Richard Sutton, and Teri Farnsworth; and brothers, Clarence 'Wes' and Ronald Sutton. Friends will be received 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the J. WILLIAM MCCAULEY, JR. FUNERAL HOME, 901 Vine St., West Newton. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, in Round Hill Presbyterian Church, 2150 Round Hill Church Rd., Elizabeth. Everyone will meet at church.
