Christmas concerts

The North Hills Chorale will present Christmas concerts titled “Cradle Him in Song” at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 and 4 p.m. Dec. 8 in the St. Vincent Hall Auditorium at St. Louise Convent, 8150 McKnight Road, McCandless.

Freewill offerings are accepted. Guests are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the North Hills Community Outreach Food Pantry. More information is available at www.nhchorale.com.

Presents from Police

Residents are asked to consider purchasing a new, unwrapped toy and donating it to Presents from Police in McCandless.

A brightly wrapped drop-off box is available in the lobby of the police station, 9955 Grubbs Road. The toy collection period ends Dec. 12.

Light Up Night

Bradford Woods Conservancy will present Light Up Night in the Reserve from 6 to 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Bradford Woods Reserve, 156 Bradford Road.

The conservancy’s Audubon Christmas Bird Count is from 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 29.

North Allegheny concerts

Holiday concerts are scheduled in North Allegheny School District:

• Dec. 5 — Carson Middle School Chorus, Ingomar Middle School Orchestra, both at 7 p.m.

• Dec. 9 — Hosack Elementary School Band, Ingomar Middle School Band, McKnight Elementary School Band, all at 7 p.m.

• Dec. 10 — North Allegheny Intermediate High School/Senior High School Orchestra, 7 p.m.

• Dec. 12 — Marshall Middle School Chorus, Ingomar Middle School Chorus, Carson Middle School Orchestra, all at 7 p.m.

• Dec. 16 — Bradford Woods Elementary School Orchestra, 6 p.m.; Peebles Elementary School Band, 7 p.m.

• Dec. 17 — Bradford Woods Elementary School Band and Chorus, 6 p.m.; McKnight Elementary School 4th Grade Chorus, 6 p.m.; McKnight 5th Grade Chorus, 7 p.m.; Ingomar Elementary School Chorus, 7 p.m.; Hosack Elementary School Chorus, 7 p.m.; Franklin Elementary School Chorus, 7 p.m.

• Dec. 19 — North Allegheny Senior High Band, 7 p.m.

Marshall tree pickup

Holiday tree pickup in Marshall will occur on residents’ regular collection days from Jan. 6-17.

Trees larger than 6 feet must be cut into 4-foot sections. Ornaments and lights must be removed.

Pickup is for live trees only. Artificial trees will not be accepted.

Marshall open house

An open house for residents to view and learn more about Marshall’s Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision/Land Development draft is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 15 on the lower level of the municipal building, 525 Pleasant Hill Road.
