Marshall Community Day
Marshall Township Community Day is scheduled for Aug. 24 at Knob Hill Park. The event will start at 4 p.m. and wrap up with Zambelli Fireworks around 9:30.

McCandless Community Day
Community Day will take place in McCandless on Sept. 14.
The event will kick off with a performance by the North Allegheny Marching Band and concludes with fireworks. Additionally, there will be rides, face painting, balloon animals, performances (including the Allegheny Brass Band) and food trucks.
McCandless Crossing concert series
McCandless Crossing is hosting its annual outdoor summer concert series and introduces a new jazz offering on the second Sunday afternoon of each month throughout the summer.
The weekly series runs through Sept. 30 and features local and regional performers in a variety of musical genres. Concerts take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and Thursday under the large white canopy tent on the Town Green, between Old Navy and Ethan Allen.
North Hills Community Outreach will hold a food donation drive at concerts on Aug. 15 and Sept. 12. Northland Public Library volunteers will host children’s activities at concerts on July 18, Aug. 29 and Sept. 16.
Jazz on the Green is from 1 to 3 p.m. each second Sunday through September. For the entire summer concert schedule, visit www.mccandlesscrossing.com.
Democrat meet and greet
McCandless Democrats will host an event featuring candidates, elected officials, local committee members and neighbors from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 2 at Devlin Park, 9955 Grubbs Road.

Ingomar Garden Club
The Ingomar Garden Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7 in the picnic pavilion at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4106 St. Thomas Drive, Richland.
The business meeting will be followed by guest speaker Brian Golgan, owner of Pondering LLC, discussing ways to add a pond or water feature to your landscape. Bring a brown-bag lunch. Desserts and water will be provided. Prospective members are invited.

Pumpkin fest vendors sought
Lutheran Church is planning its 10th annual Pumpkin Fest and Flea Market for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at 8225 Peebles Road, McCandless.
Homemade apple and pumpkin pies will be for sale, along with hot dogs, homemade soups, beverages and, of course, pumpkins.
