Have a Taste of NA, the annual celebration and fundraiser of the North Allegheny Foundation, is being held in-person at 6:30 p.m. May 23 at Soergel Orchards in Franklin Park.

Tickets are on sale for $100 each.

For the past three years, the NA Foundation has partnered with Soergel for the event to offer dinner boxes to pick up. This year marks the first in-person Taste of NA since 2019, said William Mascari, secretary of the foundation.

“There will be student musicians, art students, work created by the Tiger Den, students from Fashion Club, and more. We are also excited to welcome Melina Bowser, North Allegheny grad, singer/songwriter and nominee for favorite musician by Pittsburgh Magazine,” said Mascari, who teaches at Marshall Middle School.

The Tiger Den is a print shop run by North Allegheny Senior High School special education students, he said.

The event will take place throughout the Soergel property, including a charcuterie station, appetizer station, and main course and dessert in the McIntosh Barn. Food at each station will be paired with a drink. Student performers will be at various locations.

Guests will receive a charcuterie board, jar of apple butter and more as gifts.

Basket raffle tickets can also be purchased online. A full sheet of 26 tickets is $20; half sheet of 13 tickets, $12; or five tickets, $7.

“The proceeds of this event support the mission of the NA Foundation: to enhance and enrich the educational experience at North Allegheny. Money raised will benefit grants for staff and students, scholarships for graduating seniors and Angel funds for students in need,” Mascari said.

Recent grants include robotics and coding items for Bradford Woods Elementary School, “jungle gym ninja” course at Ingomar Elementary, sensory path items at McKnight Elementary, community-based experiences at Ingomar Middle, and vocational programming at the senior high.

Have a Taste of NA is one of three signature events the foundation hosts throughout the year. Others include a golf classic, scheduled for Sept. 24, and Trick-or-Trot in October.

The foundation also holds the Distinguished Alumni Gala, which recognizes North Allegheny alumni for their contributions to a variety of fields.

In the event of inclement weather, Taste of NA is nonrefundable. Soergel Orchards is at 2573 Brandt School Road.
