Hilltop Holiday event
Kick off the holiday season with North Hills School District’s annual Hilltop Holiday Town and A Night Around the World from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 22.
Outside on the hilltop campus of North Hills Middle School and North Hills High School, walk through lighted and decorated displays from parent and community groups, sports teams and clubs.
Inside the high school, find holiday games and crafts in the cafeteria, and fun and photo opportunities with Santa and his friends in the gym.
Families are invited to “travel around the world” and visit high school classrooms that have been transformed into different countries, each with activities, games, crafts and food native to the country’s culture.
To get a jump on holiday shopping, North Hills spirit wear will be for sale.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit North Hills Cares to help families in need during the holiday season. A donation of $10 is suggested and can be made at the door or at www.northhillscares.com/donate.
Hilltop Holiday Town and A Night Around the World is sponsored by North Hills High School’s class officers and American Field Service Club, along with North Hills Cares.
Spike’s K9 Fund
Ross police are partnering with Spike’s K9 Fund to help get a ballistic vest for the department’s newest K9, Arrow.
Four-legged partners are essential to the quality of police services provided every day. Every contribution helps keep Arrow safe on the job.

Holiday vendor fair
Recreation Alliance of North Pittsburgh’s Holiday Vendor Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at the Ross Township Community Center, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive.
Cost is $30 per table. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Winter sports pep rally
The annual community pep rally for winter sports teams is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 25 in the North Hills High School auditorium, featuring games and friendly competitions.
