Four athletes and a community supporter will join the North Hills Sports Hall of Fame as part of its latest class of inductees.

Members of the Class of 2026 include longtime teacher and coach Herb Dodd, Jamie Halloran (Class of 2016), Curtis Kelly (2005), Mike Miller (1984) and Mekenzie Saban Mahsoob (2017).

The induction ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at Rico’s Restaurant.

The class also will be honored at North Hills’ football game against Bethel Park on Sept. 11 at Martorelli Stadium.

Here’s a closer look at each of the inductees:

Herb Dodd

Dodd was a longtime teacher, coach and official that helped build North Hills’ wrestling team. He led the team for nine years, starting in 1965. He also established two junior high programs and created a youth program. He is a member of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Jamie Halloran

She scored 1,136 career points for the North Hills girls basketball team during a four-year career, averaging 16.3 ppg. The three-time all-section pick went on to play at Walsh.

Curtis Kelly

Kelly won four WPIAL swimming titles in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle and was a nine-time medalist. He held school records in the 100-yard freestyle and 400 freestyle relay. He earned All-American honors four times before moving to compete at Alabama.

Mike Miller

The 1984 grad helped North Hills’ football team win its first WPIAL championship. Miller was a three-year letterman and two-year starter who earned all-conference honors and was selected for the Big 33 game. He went on to play at Delaware where he was a Defensive Player of the Year.

Mekenzie Saban Mahsoob

A talented all-section hitter on the North Hills softball team, Saban Mahsoob hit .581, .628, .721, and .629 during her high school career. She went on to play at Saint Francis, where she was named NEC Player of the Year and Softball America All-American, among other honors.

The North Hills Sports Hall of Fame was created in 1995 to honor individuals who have distinguished themselves in athletics during and/or beyond their years at North Hills High School or the former West View High School.
